What do Nicholas Sparks & ABBA have in common?

Confession: I love Nicholas Sparks novels.
Confession: I don't mind the films either (awww come on, think the Notebook).

Dear John will be released on February 4th, just in time for Valentine's Day.

The film stars Amanda Seyfried who played Sophie in Mamma Mia and is directed by Lass Hallström, who directed almost every ABBA video as well as ABBA: the Movie.

Our family never misses a replay of that one, there is a classic scene where Ashley Wallace (i.e. the rookie DJ) interviews a groupie as to why she loves ABBA, the response : "they are so hygenic" (said in a very Aussie way).

I love that line.

It's sort of like "Muriel, you're terrrrrible" (remember Muriel's Wedding?).

{Does your family have movie lines that you just spit out over the dinner table?  You know those families, suddenly they just go into a Monte Python or Raiders of the Lost Ark or Die Hard II sketch..., well ours is ABBA: The Movie, and sometimes Caillou}.

This past summer, my love for Nicholas Sparks found us in North Carolina Outerbanks.  We spent our 16th wedding anniversary just outside of Rodanthe.  The Outerbanks, or the "OBX", to those who know them are 200-mile string of islands of the North Carolina coast. If you haven't been. You must. Spectacular.

I took this shot while on vacation.  It is the Serendipity house where the movie Nights in Rodanthe was filmed.  I can't wait to return.
